
The Ondo State Governor, Arakurin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has given the assurance that with the presence of Nigerian Army, the society is secured and save to live in.
The Governor who was represented by the Special Adviser on Security Matters, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, made this statement at the 2022 West African Social Activities, WASA, organised by the 32 Artillery Brigade, Owena Barracks, Akure yesterday.
Akeredolu noted that deliberate efforts have been put in place to ensure maximum support of the NA as today marks great history for civil society collaboration.
“This is a new era in the life of collaboration between the security Agencies and the Civil society of Ondo state.

” The confidence in the NA and other security services in ensuring peaceful and safe environment during the forthcoming general election can not be overruled.
“I want to applaud the administrator and Commander of the 32 Artillery Brigade for a job well done. We are here today thanking God, we appreciate you and we thank you for your service to humanity.
The Governor asserted that, this new era marks a new year and it is an eventful year as our host here today have said; that safety during the forthcoming election is guaranteed.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Commander, 32 Artillery Brigade, Owena Barracks, Brigadier General Muktar Adamu assured Ondo and Ekiti state residents, that the Nigeria Army are ready in guaranteeing safe environment for peaceful conduct of the forthcoming election in conjunction with police and other security Agencies in the states.
“I call on the eligible voters to come out enmass to exercise their franchise without fear of harassment just as we enjoin all trouble makers, political thugs and other criminals to stay away from disturbing the peaceful conduct of the elections, otherwise they will meet the full wrath of the law .
Adamu who emphasised that the year 2022 was not without challenges, stated that with the supports of the Ondo and Ekiti states, the year ended successfully in terms of security of lives and property.

“We need a whole of societal approach in tackling internal security challenges.
We need more of inter-agency collaboration and the support of all the Government and community as well as religious members and Civil Societies in achieving our overall aims of takling Insecurity in the states.
“I enjoin all security agencies in the country and other stakeholders to synergise and work together as one so as to achieve more success in 2023.

The Commander thanked the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenants General Faruk Yahaya, Commander of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Army Medal for providing all necessary support and resources to all bridge.
“May I also recognise the General Officer Commanding 2 Division Nigeria Army, Major General MD Usman and Commander Core Of Artillery, Major General BR Sinjen for the guardians and supports.
To my gallant officers and soldiers of the 32 Artillery Brigade , I say well-done for your professional conduct through the year 2022.
He added, that the troops of 32 Artillery Brigade will continue to discharge their responsibilities in line with the Chief of Army Staff vision for a professional Nigeria Army ready and willing to accomplish the mission of defending Nigeria.
The Governor however, light up the burn fire to signal the beginning of the year 2023.
Royal fathers present were Deji of Akure and Chairman, Ondo State Council of Obas, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Osemawe of Ondo, Oba Victor Kiladejo and other dignitaries.
