The campaign train of Otunba Bamidele Akingboye, Ondo State Governorship Candidate for Social Democratic Party (SDP) today received major boost as the State President of Ondo State Association of market women, led members to the residence of Otunba Bamidele Akingboye to support his governorship ambition.
Speaking at the event, the state president of the association, Chief (Mrs) Aisida said, “We are here to support Otunba Bamidele Akingboye, having read his manifesto. We are convinced he will perform credibly well, if given the chance,”
Speaking further, Chief (Mrs) Aisida admonished the governorship hopeful not to disappoint women, if elected.
Responding, the in-coming First Lady and wife of Otunba Bamidele Akingboye, Mrs Christianah Akingboye appealed to the market women to support her husband whom, she said, will not disappoint them.
Also speaking, the SDP Governorship Candidate, Otunba Bamidele Akingboye said he was not in the race to enrich himself but to serve humanity.
Meanwhile, the Obanla junction youths, led by their coordinator, Gbenga Kikiowo (aka K.K) led his group to support the aspiration of Otunba Bamidele Akingboye.
“We have tested APC and PDP and both parties have disappointed the people of Ondo State and that is why we are fully out to support Otunba Bamidele Akingboye and Social Democratic Party in the forthcoming Governorship election. We have always delivered our various units in the past and we shall deliver again for Otunba Bamidele Akingboye,” the dark in complexion young man concluded.
