The Ondo State Commissioner for Information, Hon. Wale Akinlosotu, has extended his congratulations to Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and his Deputy, Dr. Olayide Owolabi Adelami, mni on their decisive victory in the 2024 governorship election.
The election, held across the state, saw Aiyedatiwa of the All Progressives Congress (APC) secure a resounding win, claiming all 18 local government areas with a total of 366,781 votes. The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), on the other hand, garnered 117,845 votes.
Akinlosotu expressed gratitude to the people of Ondo State for their overwhelming support and peaceful conduct during the polls, which most observers described as free, fair and credible elections.
Speaking in Akure, the Commissioner emphasized that Governor Aiyedatiwa’s victory reflects his commitment to fulfilling campaign promises, particularly through his Ease Agenda aimed at improving the lives of residents.
The Commissioner specifically praised the people of Ondo East Local Government Area for their strong support, where the APC recorded 8,163 votes compared to the PDP’s 2,843.
Akinlosotu commended the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje; the Progressive Governors’ Forum, the party’s National Campaign Council, National Assembly members, Ondo state working committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Campaign Director (DG), elected and appointed political office holders and the entire party faithful for their hard work which contributed to the unprecedented electoral success and victory of Governor Aiyedatiwa.
He assured the residents that the governor’s continued term would bring even more developmental projects to the area and across the state.
Hon. Akinlosotu highlighted the unity and determination of the electorate, describing their massive turnout as a testament to their faith in Aiyedatiwa’s purposeful leadership and vision for Ondo State.
