It was a moment of Joy on Thursday in Akure, the ondo state for Widows across the 18 local government areas of the state as Olori Oyinkansola Aroloye put smiles on their faces through the Oyinkansola empowerment initiative, a non governmental organization owned by Olori Oyinkansola to assist and help the needy in the society.
Speaking at the event, the Commissioner for women affairs in the state,Dr Mrs Oluwaseun Osamaye eulogized the initiative of Olori Aroloye for helping the government to reduce poverty in the society.
The Commissioner, said she was impressed with all she saw putting smiles on the faces of the widows who at a time, circumstances turned to current status.
She therefore assured anyone having similar initiative to come out that govt will be ready to partner with such individual or group
Moreso, the organiser, Olori Aroloye appreciated God that the gesture was borne out of passion and feelings for the women who now labour extra ordinarily to feed their children
However, the widows were taught zobo drink production and soap making. monetary backings in form of start up capital was also given
Participants and beneficiaries added their voices on the gesture
Other dignitaries at the event were : Former Special Adviser to Gov Akeredolu on Gender, Hon Chief Olamide Falana ,who advised parents to always watch over their wards against taking hard drugs. Also, the Vice Chairman of Ese Odo local government , Hon Mrs Beauty
