The ondo state Commissioner of Police Adebowale Lawal has advised parents to warn their wards to desist from formenting trouble that could affect the peace of the state.
Adebowale ,who was on the spot assessment with Journalists round Akure, the state capital over the supposed protest by Omowole Sowore , the human right activist agitating the release of Nnamdi Kanu.
While moving round the city of Akure, some shops belonging to the Igbos along Arakale road and NEPA roundabout were seeing under lock and key.
Many of the officers of the Nigerian police also stationed at different locations and strategic places like Central Bank Area, Fiwasaye axis, Cathedral Junction and other major spots within the Metropolis
No traces of protest was seeing across the state as beeing mentioned by the Police boss saying all his men have been positioned across the three senatorial districts of the state to arrest anyone found breaching the peace of the land.
” We have our men all around the state, ọ̀rẹ̀, Òkìtìpupa, Àkókó, and other towns and cities ,Adebowale said.
It would be recalled that , Omowole Sowore, had earlier announced that he would stage a protest against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the long detention of Nnamdi Kanu, which was slated for October 20,2025.
