Ayodeji DF Oluleye, popularly known as Ògo Àkúré, has extended his warm congratulations to the Government and good people of Ondo State on the occasion of the 50th anniversary (Golden Jubilee) of the creation of Ondo State.
In a statement issued to commemorate the historic milestone, the House of Representatives hopeful for Akure North and Akure South Federal Constituency and Convener of the Ògo Àkúré Mandate Group described the last five decades as a journey of resilience, growth, sacrifice, and collective progress.
He acknowledged the immense contributions of past leaders, founding fathers, traditional institutions, workers, youths, women, and citizens who have played critical roles in shaping the identity and development of the Sunshine State.
“Fifty years is not just a celebration of time, but a celebration of purpose, struggle, and hope,” he stated. “Ondo State has produced great minds, strong institutions, and resilient people who continue to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria and the global community.”
Ògo Àkúré commended the Ondo State Government for sustaining the legacy of the state through governance reforms, infrastructural development, human capital investment, and a renewed commitment to inclusive growth. He emphasized that the Golden Jubilee presents an opportunity for reflection, unity, and a recommitment to building a more prosperous future for coming generations.
“As we celebrate 50 years of Ondo State, we must also recommit ourselves to the ideals of fairness, equity, youth empowerment, and grassroots development. The future of Ondo State lies in harnessing the energy, creativity, and productivity of its people—especially our youths,” he added.
He called on all sons and daughters of Ondo State, both at home and in the diaspora, to use the Golden Jubilee celebration as a moment to strengthen unity, promote peace, and work collectively towards sustainable development across all local governments and communities.
Ògo Àkúré concluded by praying for greater progress, stability, and prosperity for Ondo State in the years ahead.
“Happy Golden Jubilee to Ondo State. May the next 50 years usher in deeper development, inclusive leadership, and expanded opportunities for all.”
