The Convener of the Ògo Àkúré Mandate Group, Hon. Ayodeji DF Oluleye, has commended the Ondo State Government and Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for securing the landmark $50 billion investment agreement aimed at establishing transformative industries, including a Deep Sea Port and other strategic economic projects across the state.
Hon. Oluleye described the development as “a defining milestone that will unlock Ondo State’s vast economic potential and reposition the Sunshine State as an industrial powerhouse.”
He noted that the investment reflects renewed confidence by international partners in the state’s stability, visionary leadership, and long-term economic prospects.
“This is a historic breakthrough — one that promises to open up our coastline, create massive employment opportunities, and energize local enterprise, particularly in the southern region where the Deep Sea Port will be located,” Oluleye said.
He emphasized that the ripple effects of the investment will spread across the state — from Akure’s growing commercial corridors to rural communities — strengthening trade, logistics, and agricultural value chains.
