Ondo State, Nigeria – Ganny Dauda, APC Chieftain and Chairmanship hopeful, has commended Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for presenting the Ondo State 2026 Budget, tagged Budget of Economic Consolidation, to the State House of Assembly. This timely presentation underscores the Governor’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and respect for the rule of law.

The budget presentation, a constitutional imperative mandated by Section 121 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended), demonstrates Governor Aiyedatiwa’s respect for due process and commitment to transparency. “Governor Aiyedatiwa stands among the few who have complied promptly and faithfully, demonstrating a deep respect for due process and an unwavering devotion to the rule of law,” said Ganny Dauda. “This is a testament to his dedication to good governance and his willingness to be accountable to the people of Ondo State.”

The budget outlines realistic targets for growth, development, progress, and prosperity, showcasing the Governor’s willingness to account for his stewardship. Ganny Dauda praised the professionalism and diligence of the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning and the Commissioner for Finance for a job well done. “Their efforts have been instrumental in ensuring that the budget is comprehensive and aligned with the state’s development priorities,” he said.

He expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt Hon Olamide Oladiji, and all members of the house for their principled cooperation, fairness, discipline, and commitment to good governance. “We appreciate their dedication to ensuring that the budget is thoroughly scrutinized and passed into law, and we pray for quick consideration and passage of the budget, enabling the Governor to implement his vision for the state,” Ganny Dauda said.

With this budget, Ondo State is poised for a positive and massive turnaround in all sectors. “The people of Ondo State expect nothing but the best, and we are confident that Governor Aiyedatiwa’s budget will deliver. The budget’s focus on key sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, and agriculture will have a direct impact on the lives of the people, and we are eager to see the positive changes it will bring,” Ganny Dauda added.

The Chairmanship hopeful, urged all stakeholders to support the Governor’s efforts to develop the state and called on the people of Ondo State to remain focused and united in their pursuit of progress and prosperity.

Hon Ganny Dauda
