The purpose of the conference was to re define the educational system of Africa , most especially , that of Nigeria that has been affected by so many factors part of which is policy summersault
During his opening speech, the Vice Chancellor Of the University, Prof Bayode Isiah Popola , was full of enthusiasm over what he termed as the happiest moment for him and his management team, for hosting this Conference in the school beeing first of its kind in Nigeria
He appreciated the organizers for their willingness in bringing solutions to the decadence that has eaten deep the system in Nigeria .
Prof Popoola mentioned that , Education is one of the tools of development and must be well attended to, most especially in an era where over 250m children are out of school all over the world siting the available data.
The University Don said further that, Nigeria needs more experienced and well – trained teachers that will add value to future of the coming generations .
Briefing Journalists during the opening section of the Conference , the Chairman Local Organizing Committee of the conference , Prof. Ireti Alao, who is also the Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University pointed out that teaching has gone beyond physical , that modern technology should be introduced to the system saying the conference will open ways for modern innovative , ideas that will take education to the next level.
However, while appreciating all and sundry on behalf of the President of the Society , Dr Adejoke Ogunkoya Akinsemolu With what the Conference will bring to the table for the participants , the Secretary of the Society , Dr Adedayo Olofinnika, said that bringing the Conference to Nigeria is timing and consequential at a period the system is pleading for positive change and productive interrogation
Dr Olofinnika also analyzed that the purpose is to redefine the future of leaning of the future leaders.
