Also the Executive Council of the Movement was on Wednesday 16th September, 2026, inaugurated with Hon. Oluwafemi Ayejusunle, sworn-in as the State Director.

The ceremony was well-attended by members across the state, which was held at The International Event Centre, The Dome, Alagbaka, Akure.

Inaugurating the Executives, the National Leadership of the City Boy Movement, led by its Director-General, Hon. He said the movement would consolidate its structures from the state level down to wards and polling units, while communicating the policies and programmes of the Tinubu administration to the people.

He said further that the organisation already had a structure of three persons per polling unit and that his immediate task was to consolidate the arrangement.

Ayejusunle, while highlighting what he described as the achievements of the Tinubu administration, cited federal infrastructure and intervention projects in Ondo State, including road projects, youth empowerment programmes, the Federal University of Technology Akure Teaching Hospital and electricity infrastructure in the southern part of the state.Download Interactive Maps

“We have three people per unit and we are consolidating our structure to ensure that our mandate is met. And our mandate is to re-elect President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. That is why we are making this statement today, by mobilising our people from the grassroots to ensure that our statement is understood.”

Daramola also praised Seyi Tinubu, the Grand Patron of the City Boy Movement, for his involvement in the organisation’s activities in the South-West.

According to him, the growing involvement of professionals, grassroots actors and youths showed that the mobilisation effort was broad-based.

Daramola said, “Let me first start by commending the Ondo State chapter. They have shown that we are fully prepared for the upcoming election as a City-Boy Movement and they have shown strength.

“They have, over time, been a group that has shown that they are serious about mobilisation and we can see from what we have seen that they have the number and they have the strength.

“I want to commend the Minister for Youth, who is one of the patrons and is also from Ondo State, for the massive work and encouragement given to youths, particularly those who want to get involved in politics.Download Interactive Maps

“Particularly, let me commend the son of the President. He is very encouraging, and it is remarkable to see the son of the President doing this work in the South-West.

“We are very encouraged and this shows that it is all-encompassing. We have everybody involved — professionals, local people and youths — in the mobilisation for the election.”
