The Presidential Candidate of the Social Democratic Party in the just concluded election, Prince Adewole Adebayo has put smiles on the faces of the youths of Ondo city.
Adebayo who hails from the ancient city presented the cars to the youths for smooth running and development of the community.
The presentation was done on his behalf by the state chairman of the party, Hon. Stephen Adewale on Saturday, at his residence, in Ondo, the headquarters of Ondo west local government area of the state.
While handing over the car keys and documents to the youth leaders, Adewole acknowledged that, time has come for leaders and other well-meaning Nigerians to actively encourage the youths.
He also said that everything must be done to put smiles on the faces of youths empowering them.
He therefore charged the youths to make good use of the vehicles for the betterment of the community.
While receiving the gift on behalf of Ekimogun Youth Connect, the organization president, Comrade Lucas Famakinwa says he’s very happy and elated as he give glory to God.
He said: “there’s nothing more magical than to receive a gift that one do not expect.”
“Truly we have a car that we are using, but the vehicle is no more befitting, and we know that the strength of the youth is to move from one place to another, and as our slogan coanote, EKIMOGUN YOUTH CONNECT we connect youths together, so if you don’t have mobility, there would always be problem so this gesture makes the movement easier.”
He added: “Prince Wole Adebayo is an hero today by donating the vehicles to the two youth organization of the city. I pray that wherever he’s getting the money for this gesture, the source will not run dry.
On his part, Bode Fadoju, the Sports Director of Ondo Ekimogun Youth Congress says: “First and foremost, I want to say a big thank you to Prince Adewole Adebayo for this gift because it came at the right time when we needed the vehicle most because the one we are using is not in good condition at the moment, the engine is knocked. So at these time that he gave us this bus, we really appreciate him and we say a very big thank you to him.
He added that: “it will really help the youth because most time when we need to visit some places, we go by bike but with this vehicle now, we will be able to visit a lot of places in the community especially at night when there are urgent need for visitation.
