The Nigeria Labour Congress NLC and Trade Union Congress TUC have ordered all workers to embark on strike from Monday 18th December, 2033 over the non compliance of federal government on new minimum wage for all workers in the country.
It was also leant that the strike action is not unconnected with the thirty five thousand naira palliative stipend that the Federal government has stopped paying to the federal workers.
It was reported that, the federal workers were only paid once for the month of September.
In a circular sent by the secretaries of the unions : Comrade Emmanuel Igboaja MNI and Comrade Nuhu Toro, NLC & TUC respectively ,which was made available to Germanereporters(GR) on Saturday indicated that all workers are to embark on the strike action with immediate effects commencing from the midnight of Monday 18th December, 2023
