
The President and commander in chief of the Nigeria armed forces, Bola Tinubu has settled the fracas between the immediate past governor of Rivers State, Inyeson Wike and the incumbent governor, Simi Fubara over the political brouhaha that eschewed in the state recently.
The political crisis that led twenty seven members of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in the state state House Of Assembly out of the party for the All Progressives Congress APC last week.
Inyeson Wike, the FCT Minister was fingered to have masterminded the mass movement of the Assembly members that nearly led to the impeachment of the governor.
However ,the president has intervened on Monday night in a meeting which lasted four hours and conditioned the assembly members to drop the impeachment move against the governor with immediate effect.
The President also mandated the governor to withdraw all court cases against the Assembly members and give them all their entitlements with cancellation of caretaker committee earlier announced on the local governments in the state
