The commander of the ondo state security agency network code named AMOTEKUN, Adetunji Adeleye has said that the fake news spreading that bandits have over whelmed the corps in some communities in the state.
The Commander said that those in charge of the story are just enemies of progress who are doing so, for political purposes.
He Urged the people of the state to desist and never to listen to the fake news by some political miscreants who never consider the lives of the people important but rather their selfish interest.
Moreso ,over 29 suspected criminals were paraded at the corps headquarters in Akure, the Ondo State capital on Monday on various degree of criminal activities.
One Of the criminals, an ex convict, Simion Matthew who was released from correctional centre (Prison) on January 1,2024 and was caught by the corps on 4th of January, 2024 over theft and burglary in Akure
The commander therefore, said that the corps is fully ready to protect lives and property of the people of the state.
