… Promises To Run Open-Door, Good Governance

Thousands of the All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders and  members in Odigbo and Irele Local Government Areas of Ondo state respectively came out on Tuesday to welcome and demonstrate their support for the governorship aspiration of Chief Olusola Oke.

The foremost governorship aspirant is seeking the APC nomination in order to contest in the November 16 gubernatorial election in the state.

In Odigbo, unit, ward and local government executive members were all in attendance for the town hall meeting which was held at the Mega School Pavilion, Ore.

Select APC members from the eleven wards of the local government area were fully on ground for the visitation.

Pledging their commitment to Oke’s aspiration, the party members said they came to the meeting to appreciate him for the support they enjoyed from him in the past.

Highlights of the event included presentation of 150 units of customized caps to the Campaign Council of Oke by the National Union of Road Transport workers (NURTW), Odigbo chapter.

The representative of the union, Comrade Sunday Akikaka, said Oke is the man Ondo state people need at this crucial time.

Also, the AYOTIDE Movement officially declared support for the aspirant in line with the collapsing of the structure of Ayotide Oritedi into that of Oke.

Members of the Eze Ndigbo across the local government area could not hide their joy, as they declared their support for the aspirant.

While responding, Oke expressed  gratitude to the people for the unflinching supports and love showed him towards the 2024 project.

He asked them to observe a minute silence for the former governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, who died in December last year.

Oke promised to run an open door governance if elected and ensure that dividends of democracy get handed over to the people of the state.

According to him, market women will be assisted and supported to alleviate their sufferings just as he said farmers will be encouraged to put food on the tables of the citizens.

“I am making it known to you emphatically today that if you vote me as the candidate of the party and I am ultimately elected the governor of Ondo state, I will surely bring good governance to you,” Oke said.

At Ode Irele where Oke’s consultation train was received by another massive crowd, the visibly excited gathering sang along with the aspirant as he realed out his programmes to the people in the areas of industrialisation, agricultural revolution, employment creation, ICT-driven education revamping and rural road construction among others.

Representatives of the units, wards and local government leaders pledged their support to the aspiration of Oke, promising him that his long-standing identification with them makes him a preferred aspirant.

At the event, characteristic of Oke, a minute silence was also observed in memory of the Late Akeredolu.
