The chieftain of the Social Democratic party SDP in Ondo state,Hon Sola Agboola has debunked the rumour in the public space that he has joined hands with the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
Agboola,who made this known to journalists on Saturday at the residence of the SDP candidate in Akure, the Ondo State Capital, that he is solidly with Bamidele Akingboye OBA and SDP
The party chieftain said ,the governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa used his name to gain popularity and deceived the members of the public ahead of the governorship election in the state.
” Am fully committed to the cause of my party SDP and also believe in the leadership style & quality of Otunba Bamidele Akingboye”
” APC as a party knows they have failed but looking for cheap popularity from the people ,that’s why they used my name to deceive people ” he said
While responding,the SDP candidate,Otunba Bamidele Akingboye appreciated Hon Agboola for the bold steps he took visiting him and making the people of the state know that, SDP is the party of the people that will deliver the state from the shackles of the APC.
According to Akingboye ‘ I want to appreciate our leader in the party ,Hon Sola Agboola for his love for the party and urged him to join hands in taking over from APC ” Akingboye said
” I must confess to the people of the state that, SDP is the party to beat and can rescue us from the wicked hands of the APC who has inflicted poverty on everyone”Akingboye urged
It would be recalled that, few weeks ago, Hon Sola Agboola ,the former aspirant of the party was said to have defected to the All Progressives Congress APC ,to support the governorship candidate of the party,Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa along side other members of the horse party.
