The Labour party LP candidate in Ondo state, Dr Ayodele Olorunfemi has re- emphasized that, the self acclaimed governorship candidate of the party, Chief Olusola Nehemiah Ebiseni is never a member of their party ,so can not be a candidate.
Olorunfemi, made this assertion on Wednesday while addressing journalists during the stakeholders meeting of the party in Akure, the Ondo State Capital.
According to him ” It is very wrong of anybody to believe that, Sola Ebiseni can be referred to as a candidate of our party”
” His name cannot be on the ballot paper , not on INEC Portal, not on our register ,so how come then he is parading himself as one” Olorunfemi said
However, the governorship candidate said further that,though initially, he extended hand of gesture to him(Ebiseni) even ready to hand over the ticket to him but he came at a point when the window has already closed when the chips are down ,when nothing can’t be done again.
” Chief Olusola Nehemiah Ebiseni only wanted to force himself on the party when INEC window of opportunity has since closed “
” Nothing, anyone could do again than to let the sleeping dogs lies since nobody can open the Portal again ” Olorunfemi emphasized
Meanwhile, the chairman of the party in the state, Hon Abiodun Agbaje said that the party recognises Dr Ayodele Olorunfemi because, the party members voted for him during primary but was later surprised to see that Ebiseni has been parading himself around as the Governorship candidate of the party.
In his response while fielding questions from journalists during the meeting of all party executive of the state , said Ebiseni contacted him after the close of the Portal, that he would like to contest under the party which he told him that the window is closed.
” When people were asking me over the issue, I simply informed them to check INEC Portal that whosever appears is the candidate and the name of Dr Ayodele Olorunfemi is the one on the umpire portal” he said.
