Ondo state government has announced that the newly recruited teachers, who have successfully been screened, will be paid their salaries as schools are resuming September, saying some school principals who take illegal fee, making life difficult for people will be shown the way out unceremoniously.
The assurance was made by the Commissioner for Education in the state, Hon Laolu Akindolire on Thursday in Akure the Ondo State capital.
Akindolire said this while on a press conference at the NUJ press centre, while fielding questions from journalists on the fate of the recruited teachers.
The erudite Accountant, Cum Politician emphasized that, the school principals taking illegal fee from parents will be caught and dismissed as the Ministry is pilling -up names of the affected Principals.
” the newly recruited teachers will be resuming this September and their full salaries will be paid at the end of the month “
“It has come to the notice of the government that some school principals are extorting parents through illegal fee, we are compiling names, they will soon be sanctioned and made public ” He said
He therefore urged parents to be rest assured that the governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa is bent on making education free for all and sundry in the state.
