The Akure City hall at Oba Adesida road on Thursday paid host to both Indigenes and Non Indigenes of Akure speaking communities, as the annual Free Medical Outreach For All, of the Otunba Yomi Akingbade Foundation (OYAF) gave a free medical treatment to people..
The five thousand capacity hall was full to it’s beam as people trooped in to attend to their health.
Less-privileged and indigent people with various health challenges were not left out in the process .
While asking, the motive behind the gesture, Otunba Yomi Akingbade said , it was to assist the people, who could not access medical bills ,to check and treat themselves free and give them a better life.
According to him ” The health programme of the charity organisation is to assist a lot of people to solve their health challenges.and as well give them a sense of belonging ” he said
“We also organised the medical event to educate and enlighten our people on how to live a healthy lifestyle and prevent diseases as health is weath”
One of the beneficiaries , Mrs Oluwatoyin Ayoola applauded the program and appreciated the founder of the charity organization for giving back to the poor
A widow, 72 , Mrs Wuraola Oginni, who could not hide her feelings, prayed for the organizers of the program,who considered the poor masses in giving this huge to save lives
The Foundation also donated drugs and medical equipments to selected hospitals.
It is known for providing funds for the payments of medical bills incurred by indigent and less-privileged patients.
The programme was graced by the representative of Ondo state governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, Ebenezer Adeniyan , Deji of Akure Kingdom, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II, and other dignitaries.
OYAF was founded by Otunba Yomi Akingbade, a scion of the popular Akingbade family in Akure and America-based public administrator and business tycoon of great repute
