International Culture And Event Centre DOME ,in Akure, the ondo state capital was filled to its capacity on Thursday 17th April, 2025 when the first lady of the federation, Senator Mrs Remi TINUBU visited the state to empower women and make them self reliance in their chosen careers.
It is never an exaggeration, indeed the International event centre was fully filled with women, nurses, men, Journalists, wives of governors, serving Senators, including the Senator representing the central district of the state, Senator Adegbonmire, Hon Sunday Abegunde -Abena and hosts of other dignitaries from within and outside the state.
It got to a point, one began to ask if the industrial air – conditionals were no longer working because, people really trooped out not only to welcome Mrs Tinubu but also to see if Mrs Esther Oluwaseun Aiyedatiwa would show and to God be all the glory, she showed and surprised the “enemies “
Infact, the whole auditorium shook to its foundation the moment the governor, Hon Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa announced the presence of the most beautiful, charming and cool headed woman of the moment, in person of Her Excellency Mrs Esther Oluwaseun Aiyedatiwa.
the appearance of Mrs Aiyedatiwa gave hope to all women , civil servants, lovers of peace and well- meaning Ondo state indigenes , who have lost hope or whose hope have been dashed through the high handedness of some aides who surround the governor but making him to have more enemies than imagined.
No wonder the women, and the indigents took to their dancing steps, applauding the governor and welcoming the first woman of the state to work.
However, market women, the physically challenged persons, the less privileged and other party women have missed the presence of a great personality, philanthropist per excellence like Mrs Aiyedatiwa in the state since her absence.
So many waters have passed under the bridge when SUN seizes to shine repeatedly in the state
No wonder Yoruba adage says “a i si n’le ologini, ekute bale je literarilly means that when the owner of the house is away, rat occupies “
My father, James Omolade Adedeji, a Crown Prince of Akure Kingdom once told me a story some years back that :
There was a city known as Ododo with hard working people which had a king that enjoyed the love of his people.
The king had a beautiful and God fearing wife known as PRAISE.
PRAISE also was loved by all, like her husband ,most especially by women, old and young in the city of Ododo.
Olori PRAISE travelled for a year and some months on a personal journey but before her arrival, suddenly from an unknown corner, another woman deceived the king that she would assist him to paddle the canoe of the city in such a way that, all his ancestors’ achievements would be taken for a child’s play compared to what she would help the king achieve.
Of course, no reasonable man would say NO to that beautiful word but not knowing it was the a deceit and way of destroying the happiness in the palace
Along the line, the strange woman created more enemies for the King and everyone started speaking ills of the king, infact his immediate descendants and association distanced him because the strange woman had turn herself to “EMPEROR “
The entire city looked dirty, everybody going to bed hungry, enemies from outside entered and started killing the Kong’s subjects infact kidnapped and waged internal war against the city, then rapped their women even farmers were being killed at will..
All these made the King’s subjects demanded seeing Olori PRAISE who could talk to the King where he would hear and understand easily not until he would told of the problems
Eventually and Surprisingly, Olori PRAISE appeared after a long period of time, the whole city rejoiced and prayed never to have such a strange woman in their midst, who was not loved at all even by the workers at the king’s palace
To this end, women will be allowed to actively participate in the politics of the state as they have since been shot out for long in the anal of things even in decision making as Mrs Tinubu handed over a Cheque of #50,000000(fifty Million naira only) to give to women in the state in supporting their petty trading and work
