Tragedy struck this week Monday as a female student of Adekunle Ajasin University,Akungba Akoko mainly known as Aisha, a 100 level student of English Education department of the institution, stabbed her fellow student with broken bottle close to the chest as a result of slight argument that eschewed between them over charging of phone.
GERMANE REPORTERS authoritatively gathered that , Aisha who was having a hot altercation with her friends who came to charge at her villa , since electricity supply to the town has been a serious issue ,but the stabbed – student, a Chemistry Education department (name withheld) was said to also be charging his phone with other students at the passage of where Aisha is staying.
Aisha was said to have seen large number of students on her way from outside which she could not tolerate and started blowing -hot on everyone , while this was going on , in an attempt appealing to her to calm down by the male.student, the appeal fell on the negative side of her and angrily took a bottle from the ground ,broke it and stabbed the male student almost at his chest , which resulted to rushing him to the state hospital at Ikare.
Aisha, immediately took to her heels for fear of being arrested and the whereabouts could not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.
Friends and all the students have been engaging themselves in prayers for the male student to survive what Aisha did angrily to him
However, no official statement from the institution’s authority over the issue but the students have reported the case to the Divisional Police Station in the university town for immediate and necessary action.
