As 2023 general election draws closer Some aggrieved members of the All Progressives Congress in Akure North and South Federal Constituency have vowed to work against the party’s victory owing to the internal rangling

However, the crisis within the party came to what it is today as a result of the out come of the primaries conducted early last year 2022.

One of the party faithfuls who confided in germanereporters said that, the inability of the party leaders to settle the feud amongst Aspirants generated to what the party is witnessing at the moment.

Moreso, it would be recalled that, the primaries of the party into the House Of Representatives were being challenged by aggrieved aspirants at various courts across the state alleging the leadership of the party of favouritism.

The development which has so far degerated into what the supporters tagged ” injustice within folds”.

Germanereporters reliably gathered that , some members of the party held meeting at the residence of a serving House of Reps member late last year and concluded that all efforts will be put in place to jeopardize the chances of the Favoured candidate, in Akure South/North Constituency , come February, 2023.

Also it was learnt that some of the candidates expressed their fear on Thursday at a meeting held at the Ijapo residence of the Director General of the party over similar issue bothering on the inability of the leadership to resolve the matter before it all went out of hands.

The rangling may eventually give way for other opposition parties like the People’s Democratic Party and the Social Democratic party ,if they work more on their efforts and ability to penetrate the aggrieved aspirants and the supporters.

The other “Favoured’ candidates are jittering , thinking the decision of the party members may affect the chances of the party and as well, give opportunity to the opposition to comb home victory in the election.

It was learnt , that Senator Tayo Alasoadura and Hon. Mayokun Lawson Alade are seriously aggrieved which the party leadership never consider their presence in the party as necessary and important.

The Ondo Central Senatorial flag bearer of the party, Niyi Adegbonmire, and House of Reps candidate of Akure South/North, Prince Abiodun Derin will have to work extra length in making the coming election a huge success to their feathers

In all, the party, APC is having serious issue to tackle at the central amongst the candidates,so.applicable to Ondo North senatorial district where the case is being handled by a competent court of law over who becomes the party Flagbearer in the House of Reps seats.
