
A trader in the Alaba Rago, Ojo Local Government area in Lagos has been shot dead by a policeman attached to the Okokomaiko division.
The policeman, according to the report, was discharged to the market alongside other officers to arrest a suspect but was faced with an attack from the traders.

In an attempt to solve the chaos, a policeman fired and the stray bullet had hit a trader.
The news was confirmed by the police spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, who also confirmed that arrested and investigation had commenced.
Hundeyin on his Twitter on Tuesday said, “Policemen of Okokomaiko Division today (Tuesday) went into Alaba Rago Market to effect arrest of a suspect but came under heavy attack from a large number of traders.

“In a bid to tactically retreat from the armed mob attack, one of the officers fired his weapon, resulting in fatal injury to one of the attackers.
“A detailed investigation has commenced into the immediate and remote causes of the incident.”
