Akure ,the Ondo state capital was filled with dignities across stratas as the paramount ruler of the kingdom, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi Ogunlade OFR installed on the NIMASA DG, Dr Bashir Jamoh, the BAATONA ( the great Pathfinder) Of Akure Kingdom at the weekend.
The event which was filled with funfare and carnival- like as all staff of the agency were in attendance to grace the occasion.
Speaking at the event, the newly installed Chief, the DG thanked the paramount ruler and at the same time, appreciated the good people of Akure Kingdom for the encomium showered on him and considered him for the highly exalted position of Pathfinder of the Kingdom.
” am highly delighted and grateful to have been considered for this chieftaincy position by the Kabiyesi and the good people of this Kingdom “
” I can’t thank you enough over this but all I know is that, the gesture will go along way in promoting unity among Nigerians ” Jamoh said.
The newly installed Chief therefore promised and pronounced giving Akure Indigenes scholarships to study overseas.
While responding, the Minister of state for transportation, Hon. Barr Ademola Adegoroye, said the honour and the chieftaincy position really fits Dr Jamoh for the tremendous moves he has embarked on in the agency.
He said further that, Dr Jamoh has since been a friend of the Kingdom from his inception into the Office as Director General Of the agency.
” I want to say emphatically that Dr Bashir Jamoh deserves the honour bestowed on him as the BAATONA Of Akure Kingdom for his wonderful works across boards”
The Paramount ruler , Deji of Akure later appreciated the Chief for accepting the title with all joy and promise in his own capacity to promote the love and oneness among the ethnic groups in the country and as well to honour hard work.
