In just five years the BeMore Empowered Girls Foundation in partnership with Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu Foundation (BAAF) has trained over three thousand five hundred girls, majority from rural economically and educationally disadvantaged backgrounds, in computing, technology and creative arts. Using formal and informal pedagogies Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu have helped them learn in ways that develops their critical and independent thinking skills, social skills, creativity and self-identity. For two weeks every Summer, BeMore Summer Camp provide individualized experiences that develop a strong conceptual understanding of technology, solar installation, and creative arts to young girls. BeMore Girls are nurtured in an environment where curiosity is encouraged, creativity is expected and risk taking is rewarded, to build confident, focused, and budding entrepreneurs and change makers. The result has been recorded in the number of girls reading STEM courses in Nigerian universities, young business owners and award winning young leaders who are ready to take on challenges in their domains.

The first lady of Ondo State showcased the achievements of BeMore at the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW67), official Nigeria side event: “Leveraging Innovative Approaches to Drive Empowerment and Education Outcomes for Nigerian Women and Girls on 7th March, 2023 at Millennium Hilton Hotel, Manhattan, New York.
