
Rainstorm has wreaked havoc in Ilepa ,Mosalasi area ,and other parts of Ikare Akoko , the headquarters of Akoko North east Local Government area of Ondo state.
Other areas affected are , Oke ruwa, and Igbede axis wherw buildings were completely blown off.
Some roofs were seeing falling on another building which likely may have affected individuals and property worth millions of naira.
As at the time of filling this report, no fewer than 10 buildings were affected.
The storm.was said to have been seriously heavy that trees, and some heavy objects were as well touched and blown beyond imagination.
The Friday downpour, which lasted for over two hours, also destroyed some electricity facilities across the town, thereby subjecting residents to total blackout.
The residents were helpless as the spot assessment level.of the damage could not be adequately ascertained and quantified
Oyebanji, represented by his Deputy, Chief (Mrs.) Monisade Afuye, described the incident as devastating.
The Deputy Governor was conducted round the affected areas by the Regent of the town, Her Royal Highness Ogunbiyi Tinuade Adebayo, the lawmaker representing Ikole Constituency 2, Hon Adeoye Aribasoye and the Chairman, Ajoni Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Mr. Michael Ogungbemi.
A statement by Special Assistant (Media) to the Deputy Governor, Victor Ogunje, quoted the Governor as expressing delight that no life was lost during the stormy rainfall.
