A 32 years old suspect, Mariam Yusuf has been arrested by the personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Kulende outpost for Alledgly stealing baskets of Tomatoes and Pepe at Kulende Market, Ilorin Kwara State.
According to the NSCDC Spokesman, DSC Ayeni Olasunkanmi, in a statement issued and made available to newsmen in Ilorin, the suspect was arrested on the 5th of April following a report by the traders in the market.
“Issues of stealing within Kulende market has become a serious issue between the traders. Such that, they’ve been suspecting each other of stealing.
“The matter has generated alot of infighting between them.
“However, luck ran out of Mariam Yusuf on Wednesday 5th of April when our personnel at Kulende out post under Tanke Division apprehend her for stealing Tomatoes and other ingredients,” he said.
He added that Mariam has confessed to the crime, saying that necessary legal action will be taken soon.
