ONDO STATE UNVEILS 2-YEAR TRAINING PLAN FOR PUBLIC SERVANTS, OTHERS

The Ondo State Government has unveiled a two-year calendarized training programmes for public servants and other interested members of the public at its Public Service Training Institute situated at Ilara-Mokin in Ifedore Local Government Area of the state.

Fielding questions from newsmen shortly after performing the official unveiling of the training brochure, the state Head of Service, Pastor Kayode Ogundele, FCIPM said the calendarized programmes would avail public and private institutions in the state and beyond the opportunity to plan the participation of their officers ahead.

The Head of Service said the publication is another way for the institute to showcase all its available training programmes in the institute to the outside world and afford prospective clients to plan ahead of time.

‘The brochure is all about the training programmes of the institute and it’s a robust one. It is done in such a way to assist organisations to plan ahead.’ Ogundele said.’

‘Steadily, from year 2023 to 2025, they can give these workers the opportunity to have training that is consistent and that will be able to assist them to contribute their quota to the development and growth their establishments as manpower development is critical to business development and success ,’ he added.

Also speaking, the Director-General of the institute, Dr Olumide Asere, who noted that knowledge is key to development of any nation, said the institute have all it takes to train as many people that may want to subscribe from both public and private sectors.

Asere said the institute, in its bid to ensure all-encompassing training and recognition, is partnering with the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko while efforts were also on to secure partnership with the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti.

‘We are at a period where knowledge is power. And of course if you look at the whole world today, you will find out that knowledge is what rules.’ Asere pointed out.

‘That is why we have this brochure which shows all the programmes we are running in the institute.’ He added.
