The ondo state Security network code named Amotekun has arrested and paraded no fewer than twenty six suspected criminals and also a man who paraded himself as mad man but rather a kidnapper.
The Commander of the corps ,Chief Adetunji Adeleye advised the people of the state to be weary of the people who paraded themselves as lunatics on the streets but rather criminal elements who are found of snatching people’s s belongings and as well kidnap them for ransome.
Speaking in Akure, the ondo state capital on Wednesday during the parade of twenty six suspected elements who derived joy in breaking into peoples home, the corps commander urged members of the public to be security alert on happenings around them.
Also, a man who was caught in the attitude of displaying himself as a mad man but ventured into kidnapping school children, said he was doing so for ransom purposes and not rituals.
Moreover, other suspects who were paraded along other acclaimed mad man, were caught at Irese road, shagari village over theft ,burglary , kidnapping and other criminal offences.
However, one Ahmed ,who was paraded with other gang members said they are specialists in kidnapping and taking ransome. He said further that ,over 40 people have been kidnapped before he was apprehended by the officers of Amotekun corps.
