Movie producers, Mo Abudu, Funke Akindele and Ayo Makun, have topped the list of Nollywood highest grossing producers.
The list was compiled by The Top Charts Africa and was shared by comedian and actor, AY Makun, on his Instagram page on Saturday.
On the list, Funke Akindele also topped Toyin Abraham coming second with Toyin Abraham as the 5th.
Mo Abudu came first with N1.59 billion, with Funke Akindele with N1.33 billion, AY Makun with 1.25 billion, Jade Osiberu with 707 million and Toyin Abraham with N564 million.
A little swipe at the right has the highest grossing movie with Funke Akindele’s ‘Omo Ghetto: The Saga’ as number one, with Mo’ Abudu’s ‘The Wedding Party 1 & 2, Chief Daddy, ‘Your Excellency’ as second, third, fourth and tenth respectively.
AY Makun’s Merry Men made it to the table with 6th, 8th and 9th with ‘Christmas in Miami’, ‘Merry Men’ and ‘Merry Men 2’ respectively.
In his caption, AY Makun said he is in the business to make money or win awards and being the best in your craft is a choice to make in showbiz.
His caption read, “Thank God say all these women join people wey dey feel pity for AY for the entertainment industry. Being the best is a choice, having great shows or movies is also a choice. In showbiz, we all have our paths.
“It’s either you win awards or make money in the business. Thanks to everyone supporting the AY brand.”
This is coming a few weeks after his interviews clashed with BasketMouth’s interviews where both spilled about their lomg time feud.
