The people of Arimogija, ijagba ,Imoru in Ose local government area of the state have pleaded with the state government to quickly attend to their situation before they will all be wiped off by the Fulani herdsmen in the territory.
Speaking with Journalists in Akure, the state capitalon Thursday the prime minister to the traditional ruler of Ijagba, High Chief Sunday Ogoh,said no fewer than twenty people have recently been killed by the herdsmen.
He said further that, the dare-devil herdsmen kidnap and kill the people of the area freely unchallenged ,
” we are constrain and helpless as the fulani herdsmen recently kidnapped one mr Ohiremen Issac Odey along his farm with his son ,Solomon”
“In search of the victims in the bush ,it was discovered that Mr Ohiremen Issac Odey has been killed by the abductors ,while his lifeless body was found “
However , the former chairman of the local government ,Hon Bola Adelegbe was also said to have been killed in the same dastardly act.
Chief Ogoh narrated further that ransome of four hundred thousand naira was paid despite the humiliation ,before the dead body could be found.
The leaders of the communities therefore , pleading the government of ondo state to urgently do the needful in saving the lives of the people from the herdsmen.
“we shall be grateful if prompt actions can be taken in this regard to curb these menace” he said
