Honourable Councillors ,who served during the administration of Dr Olusegun Agagu, will in no distance time be joining the All Progressives Congress APC in the state.
The Chairman of the councillors forum ,Hon. Oyeyinka Akosile who led his colleagues to a meeting with the state Chairman of the party, Engr Ade Adetimehin at a venue in Ijapo Estate, Akure, on Friday appreciated the party chairman , as well , the party for the good hands of gesture extended to them even during the last administration of Dr Olusegun Mimiko who laid them off from office despite court rulings re-instating them.
Akosile also appreciated governor Rotimi Akeredolu for his fatherly love and hands of fellowship he gave them everytime.
While responding, Adetimehin thanked them for their endurance and dogged spirit so far.
He therefore assured them that non of the ex councillors will regret joining the rulling party any time anyway
The ex councillors across the 18 local government areas of the state will be officially joining the All Progressives Party APC come next month in a carnival -like manner according to the leader of the forum.
It would be recalled that the ex councillors were duly elected in a free fair poll in 2005 during Dr Olusegun Agagu but were sacked illegally by the administration of Dr Olusegun Mimiko which the case was judged in Favour of the councillors by an Appeal court which ordered their re-in statement or pay them off , their entitlements after seven years but could not be administered by the then administration .
