In commemoration of his birthday, Hon. Ayodeji DF Oluleye (Ògo Àkúré) has announced plans to provide free medical services to over 1,000 residents across Akure North and Akure South through a special health intervention program tagged “Free Easter Medical Outreach & Community Treatment 2026.”
The outreach, which is scheduled to hold on Friday, April 3, 2026 (Easter Friday), is part of Ògo Àkúré’s commitment to promoting community wellbeing and improving access to basic healthcare for residents.
With the theme “Healthy Communities, Stronger Akure,” the program will offer a wide range of free medical services including eye screening and distribution of prescription glasses, diabetes screening and treatment, blood pressure checks with hypertension support medications, dental checks and treatment, medical consultation and counseling, as well as the distribution of prescribed drugs.
In addition, mosquito insecticides and rodenticides will be distributed to help curb the spread of malaria and Lassa fever, while participants will also enjoy light entertainment and refreshments and lots of souvenirs and educational items during the outreach.
The event will take place at St. Peter’s Primary School Field, Olobi, Igbatoro, Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State, beginning at 9:00 AM, with an expected 1,000 beneficiaries from communities across Akure North and Akure South Federal Constituency.
Traditional rulers, religious leaders and political leaders from the constituency are expected to grace the event in solidarity with this humanitarian initiative.
Hon. Oluleye noted that the outreach reflects his belief that strong communities are built on healthy people, and he reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that improve the quality of life of the people of Akure.
