..APPLAUDS ONDO NAWOJ FOR THEIR EFFORTS
The wife of the chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC, Mrs Daisi Olusola Oke has urged the wealthy personalities in the society to rise to the challenges being faced by the widows in assisting them in one way or the other.
Mrs Oke, made the plea on Friday at this year’s international widows day organised by the Nigeria Association Of women Journalists,NAWOJ Ondo State council at the NUJ press centre, Akure, the Ondo State Capital.
While addressing the Women, she urged them to be more pro active and productive in whatever they found themselves doing.
She as well, use the avenue to appeal to the well meaning Nigerians to assist in whatever capacity God has given them, to assist widows.
In her response, the Chair person of Ondo NAWOJ, Mrs Tola Gbadamosi, appreciated Mrs Olusola Oke for her gesture in putting smiles on the faces of the women.
Gbadamosi therefore urged other Nigerians both men and women to emulate the gesture of Mrs Oke.
Mrs Olusola Oke had earlier encouraged the women to be strong , firm and never to relent or look back in all their legitimate businesses.
” I will advise you you all to please continue to pray and be courageous in whatever you are doing or in your businesses”
” Heaven helps those who helped themselves, never look back, do not relent “
While speaking on behalf of the widows, Mrs Medayejuni, appreciated Mrs Oke for the monitory gift she gave to each and everyone of them to boost their businesses. She prayed God to guild and be with the philanthropist for the beautiful words of encouragement she showered them which she said will go a long way in their dealings.
