Co-founder of the Foundation, Professor Henry Fadamiro, a professor and associate vice president at Texas A&M University in the United States says: “The Bamiwo Scholarship Foundation was established this year(2023) In honor of the legacy of our late mother Deaconess Esther Oluwabamiwo Fadsmiro, who passed on to glory this year (2023) at the age of one hundred(100) years old. Our late mother was a passionate advocate and champion of education when she was alive. As a professor and scholar myself, I know firsthand the value of education, also I was a recipient of scholarship awards as a student, so the idea of the Bamiwo Foundation was conceived by me and my son Engineer Seyi Fadamiro who is also the chairman of the foundation.” He added that “The Bamiwo Foundation has just presented awards to ten (10) students from two (2) schools on Ondo. The students were selected based on their academic performance and demonstration of need.
Our goal for the next year is to at least double the number of awards and partner schools. To borrow a quote from Aristotle the Greek philosopher, excellence is not an act, but a habit”.

He advice the students to “continue to work hard and cultivate the habit of excellence. Congratulations and thank you”.
