The ondo state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has said that ,all is set for the state government in recruiting no fewer than one thousand two hundred health workers in no distance time possibly before the end of the year and the implementation of the new minimum wage for the workers.
The assertion was made on Tuesday in Akure, the ondo state capital by the state Head Of Service ,pastor K.O Ogundele FCIPM on the occasion 2023 Public Service Week at the cocoa conference hall, office of the governor , Akure.
Ogundele while addressing Journalists said that all efforts are also on top gear with labour leaders in the state in increasing the salaries of workers in the state as beeing done to their counterparts at Federal level.
He assured all workers that the state government under the able leadership of the governor, Rotimi Akeredolu ,that the salary increment committee has concluded arrangement over the new salary structure for the workers of the state.
” we want to assure you that ,the new salary structure for ondo workers will be announced very soon by the state government”
” I can assure you that ondo state will not carry last in the implementation ” Ogindele said .
The Head of service therefore, urged all workers to be more dedicated to duty in their dealings.
The three – day yearly Public Service week for the year 2023 edition of the anniversary is on the theme : Bureaucratic Impact On Investment Promotion In Ondo State” ,the anniversary has been flagged off by the Federal Public Service and the states of the federation are to follow suit.
The event kicked off on Tuesday with health work in the early while the second day will feature the Head of service having Interactive session with cross section of the public servants at the Adegbemile Cultural Centre, Akure.
The meeting is segmented into two , Officers on grade kevel 12 and above as first batch while officers on grade level 10 and below would then take their turn.
The session gives room for questioning and its going to be interactive which will avail the oppouetunities for workers to contribute on how to improve ondo state.
