The Alumni Association of Adeyemi Federal University of Education has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has made history by approving the elevation of Adeyemi College of Education into a full-fledged University. The College which was established in 1964 was
foremost in the training of quality teachers in Nigeria. The institution has produced thousands of eminent scholars making excellent marks across diverse fields of endeavour in Nigeria. We are also proud to announce that our Alumni has a creme of successful, patriotic and distinguished Nigerians, including the First Lady, Senator Chief Oluremi Tinubu who also doubles as a Fellow of the great institution.
The institution has more than two hundred and fifty PhD holders, highly trained administrative staff, dedicated and effective workforce in its service with state of the art infrastructure that befit a 21st Century University.
Having been so responsive by completing the process of this upgrade which started many years back We plead with the President who is the Visitor to the University to perfect the procedure by approving the appointments of the Pro Chancellor and Chairman of Council, other members of Council, as well as the Vice Chancellor and other principal officers without further delay. We trust that these appointments will also follow Mr President’s culture of excellence and dilligence in the choice of appointees.
With the bold steps and great impacts made within such a short time in office, we hereby declare the total support of the Association for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in renewing the hope of all Nigerians that leaders can still serve them and serve them better and faster. We wish our President good health, long life and peaceful tenure.
