Oke Igbo Youths in their hundreds stormed Akure, the ondo state capital on Tuesday to protest against the moves by some elements in the government circle ,trying to impose on the community , a traditional leader that will not be acceptable both legally and naturally by the youths and the KUOLE RULING HOUSE which is their turn to produce the next king of the ancient town.
According to the release made available to Germanereporters by the Chairman of the KUOLE OLOJE ruling house, Dare Ojetayo and the Secretary ,Adewale Adeyemi said ,those behind the illegality should stop and think of the consequences that may follow their action.
” we need to remind all that care that the occupation of the Oluoke stool is on rotation basis ,from one ruling house to the other as contained in our chieftancy declaration”
” In this case , the last occupant was from AARE kugbayigbe and the next one should naturally and legally come from KUOLE RULING HOUSE”
” we therefore appeal to the govwrnment to caution those that are planning to throw Okeigbo kingdom to another round of chaos and crisis, which the magnitude may not be quantified ” the statement reads
