It is with a heavy heart and profound sorrow that I received the news of the untimely passing of our esteemed leader, Governor Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN CON. Governor Akeredolu exemplified courage in his leadership, dedicating himself wholeheartedly to his convictions throughout his life.
The history of Ondo state would be incomplete without the mention of Governor Akeredolu’s significant contributions, notably in the realm of infrastructure development.
I extend my heartfelt condolences to his wife, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, his children, the entire Owo kingdom, and the entirety of our state.
The loss of Governor Akeredolu is a profound one for the Nigerian nation. Yet, I find solace in the knowledge that Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu lived a life of great fulfillment, notably during his remarkable tenure as the President of the prestigious Nigeria Bar Association and as the Governor of the Sunshine State from February 24, 2017, to December 27, 2023.
May our beloved Arakunrin’s soul find eternal peace.
