Crisis within the People’s Democratic party PDP in Ondo state took another dimension as stakeholders disagree over who becomes the chairman of the campaign committee.
The Crisis erupted on Monday when the spokesperson to the candidate of the party, Sam Ogunlesi issued a statement announcing Chief Eddy Olafeso as the Chairman of the campaign committee.
In a swift reaction, the publicity secretary of the party in the state , Hon Peretei Ikandu,almost immediately issued another opposing statement,that the party has not picked anyone as Chairman of the campaign committee,thereby urging all party members to disregard such pronouncement.
While contacting the Publicity secretary of the party in the state, Peretei confirmed to Germane Reporters that ,indeed ,there is crisis within the rank and file of the party.
