The Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC) has commenced the payment of bursaries and scholarships to students in tertiary institutions from Ilaje and Ese-Odo LGAs.
This morning, I spoke with the Secretary of the Commission, Princess Abike Bayo-Ilawole, who confirmed that students began receiving credit alerts last Tuesday.
She added that PGD, Master’s and Ph.D. degree students would receive their payments starting next week.
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, during a stakeholders’ meeting with student leaders last week, promised to prioritise the general well-being of students and youths in the state.
This is one promise fulfilled!
