On Saturday, October 26, 2024, Ondo State Governor, His Excellency Lucky Aiyedatiwa, received royal blessings to continue his tenure beyond 2025. During a courtesy visit by His Royal Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ọjájá II, CFR, Ooni of Ife, at the Government House in Alagbaka, the paramout Yoruba monarch offered prayers for the governor’s success.
In a symbolic gesture, the Ooni presented the statue of Obalufon Ogbogbodirin Alayemore, an ancient Yoruba king who reigned for centuries, to the governor. He wished Governor Aiyedatiwa good health, longevity, and the divine wisdom to lead Ondo State to new heights.
Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed his gratitude, noting that this was the Ooni’s first visit since he assumed office in December 2023.
The governor was joined by key members of his campaign team, including the Director-General of the Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organization, Hon. Abiola Makinde; Chairman of SUBEB, Hon. Victor Olabintan; former State House of Assembly member, Hon. Sunday Olajide; APC chieftain, Hon. Kenneth Odusola; Chief of Protocol to the Governor, Mr. Yomi Olasanya; Prince Orioye Benedict Gbayisemore; SSA on Youth Empowerment and Job Creation; SSA on Strategic Communication, Comrade Allen Sowore, Esq.; and Special Assistant on Interparty Affairs, Fade Ojamomi, who all welcomed the Ooni.
