The Head Of Service, Ondo state, Bayo Philip has congratulated all workers in Ondo state on this year’s workers day celebration.
Philip, who eulogized the workers for their hardwork and patriotism so far in moving the state forward, including the leaders of various unions for their understanding which has given room for industrial harmony in the state.
In a statement he issued on Thursday and made available to Germane Reporters expressed his happiness towards all the workers for their steadfastness
” Fellow workers of our Dear Sunshine State, as we join other workers across the globe to celebrate this year’s Workers Day, I felicitate you on yet another anniversary.
I wish to appreciate our hardworking Workers and our Union Leaders for your patriotism, maturity and understanding leading to a sustained industrial peace in the State. I thank you all.
Let me also appreciate the harmonious relationship, based on mutual engagement and dialogue that the leadership of the Organized Labour in the State has maintained with the Government over time.
I wish to assure our workers of Government’s unrelenting commitment to workers’ welfare in the State. Our worker-friendly Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Orimisan Aiyedatiwa is irrevocably committed to raising a virile and well-motivated workforce capable of delivering on government programmes and policies.
As we celebrate, I enjoin our workers to know that, to whom much is given, much is expected. There is no more excuse for underperformance or non-performance. We should stay committed to our new mantra, ‘don’t deliver short, don’t deliver late.’
