“ile taa ba ti fi ito mo, dajudaju, iri lo maa wo ” Matthew 7:24-29. “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.
The question is “where is our pride in Ondo State?
Government has folded hands too long on many issues in the state, which as a result, gave birth to what we are witnessing today over these evil doers to have destroyed our pride and our heritage to a level that, freely, jobs are being sold in the state, freely, jobs are being bought right in the nose of top government officials.
Most schools are being renovated and new structures built by old students of such schools.
The Corruption started gradually when Principal of schools planning to retire, would be asking students to bring #1000 each to school for their retirement compulsorily, the Ministry in charge will not say anything, because it is also alleged that, certain cuts are being remitted to the Ministry.
Rottens and many decadence have taken over Ondo State Educational system in one way or the other.
Discrepancies in government school fees across the state, unchallant behaviour of top government officials of the Ministries and agencies in charge, towards the School heads across boards.
State of emergency should be declared by a serious government in any sector that seems not cooperating or functioning as expected.
The Parents of these students, who stayed in the sun day and night to hawk, who stay in the rain before they could eat had lamented severally but all efforts proved abortive before everything is now made open to the anti graft agency under the leadership of Professor Adeyeye
No wonder, Ondo State has no place anymore in the country educationally.
However, Education has suffered so much than ever in recent time, where students learn under terrible circumstances.
Most schools in the state, both primary and secondary, do not have teachers. A situation where a teacher will be teaching five arms of a class, and will still do such in another class for a whole day, where is the effectiveness ?
It is now clear to all that, most teachers employed by the state government bought their ways -into the system even when they are not qualified.
The danger there are enormous and the repercussion will be severe on the future of the state and that of the country in general because, the end results will surely bring disgrace.
How on earth will government agencies , Ondo State Teaching Service Commission and SUBEB be collecting huge amount of money before employing a teacher into the teaching profession?
Directly or indirectly, those involved in the dastardly acts are digging a deep grave for the future of their children because, everyone will be affected at long run.
We can therefore conclude that, the representatives of government at the two agencies be sacked or suspended over the alleged involvement.
We therefore urge the anti graft agency of the state government, to expose all those involve in the act, so that the Wheat can be taken away from the Tares
