
The Senior Special Assistant to Ondo state governor on Mining, Hon Omowunmi Sipasi Aluko has joined other well meaning individuals all over the world in rejoicing with women most especially, in Ondo state over this year’s Women in mining International Women’s Day.
Hon Wunmi Aluko in a statement made available to newsmen on Monday over the celebration said she joined women across the globe for their resilient, strength and unwavering spirits especially , those breaking barriers in Traditionally male- dominated sectors like Mining Industry
According to her, she said the deepest appreciation also goes to the executive governor of the state, Hon Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to gender inclusive.
Hon Omowunmi Aluko said further that women are now re-writing the narratives and contributing meaningfully in mining and other technical fields despite the notion that it’s basically for men.
However, this year’s theme ” My space ,Your Space , and Environment At Large” centred on how effective the environment is being utilized.
Certain factors were considered as parts of measure for the Mining process which could bring positive maximization like : Environmental Satisfaction which include Lightning, temperature , humidity and noise level which can affect overall satisfaction with the work space and can boast employee’s morale and productivity
Another factor considered is Space Utilization on how efficient, the available space can be used which can lead to cost savings.
Engr Dr Janet Adeyemi , National President Women In Mining was applauded for her leadership capacities, encouragement and the hope that gender is not a barrier to success.
She therefore urged all women to champion Policies , programs that will bring innovations , resource management and development across all sectors.
