Ondo State Housing Corporation Hall, was filled to it’s capacity on Sunday 22 June, 2025 when Pastor in charge of The Redeemed Christian Church Of God ( RCCG ) Region 22, Akure Pastor Elijah Olujimi Ajibade and his amiable wife Pastor Mrs Deborah Ayobami Ajibade were bagged Distinguished Religious Leadership Awards by the Ondo state Union Of Journalists ,Federated chapel on 22nd June, 2025 @ the Housing Hall, Ijapo Estate ,Akure.
The award is in recognition of Pastor and pastor Mrs Deborah Ayobami Olujimi Ajibade’s service in God’s vineyard and to humanity coupled with testimony of selfless leadership.
In his reaction to the honour bestowed on the man of God, he described the award as one which will spour him doing more in the vineyard of God towards unwavering commitment to the work and prayers for the nation.
He therefore, Commended the leadership of the Chapel for their dedication to the service of mankind and that of the nation in general. He implore all the Journalists to keep the flag of the profession flying in saying the truth and focus on God’s reward.
The program featured lecture presentation tittled : Good Governance, A pathway To Development In Nigeria ‘ which was delivered by Prof Sola Fayose.
The occasion which was witnessed by friends and well wishers from both within and outside the state.
Other awardees at the event were: Dr Mrs Lola Oshin, Ebenezer Adeniyan,the Chief Press Secretary to Ondo state Governor, Dr Thomas Wilson Ikubese,CEO, Skye Hospital, Hon Abiola Makinde and host of others.
