In a bold move aimed at accelerating the development of Akure, the Ondo State capital, renowned development advocate and youth empowerment crusader, Ayodeji DF Oluleye, has unveiled the Ògo Àkúré Mandate Group — a platform for young, visionary professionals of Akure origin committed to driving meaningful change in the ancient city.

Addressing journalists in Akure on Wednesday, Oluleye described the group as “a homegrown initiative of thinkers, doers, and patriots united by the belief that Akure deserves more — more development, more opportunities, and a stronger voice in governance.”

He explained that the group seeks to harness the intellectual and creative resources of Akure’s brightest minds to push for reforms, attract investments, and influence policies that will uplift the lives of the people.

“Ògo Àkúré represents the pride, potential, and prosperity of our people. Through this platform, we will mobilise energy and ideas to make Akure a beacon of growth,” he stated.

Oluleye, who has consistently championed youth inclusion and community development, used the occasion to congratulate Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa on his recent victory at the Court of Appeal.

Describing the judgment as “a triumph of democratic integrity and judicial fairness,” he said the verdict not only validates the will of the people but also strengthens public confidence in democratic institutions.

“Governor Aiyedatiwa’s victory affirms the will of the people and restores confidence in our democratic institutions. I urge all well-meaning citizens to rally behind his administration in the interest of progress, peace, and development in Ondo State,” he said.

He expressed optimism that Akure was on the path to reclaiming its rightful place in the state’s political and economic structure, adding, “Our city is rising, and the glory of Akure — Ògo Àkúré — will continue to shine.”
