The Management of Kwara State University, Malete, has expressed profound grief following the death of a final-year student, Idris Aremu Agboluaje, who tragically lost his life in a road accident on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

According to reports, Idris was on his way to the university to sit for an examination when the fatal incident occurred in Malete.

In a statement, Dr. Kikelomo W. Sallee, Registrar of the university, described the loss as “deeply painful” and extended heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of the late student. “We pray that God grants comfort and strength to the family, friends, and the entire KWASU community during this difficult time,” she said.

The university management also urged students and staff to cherish life and exercise caution on the roads, highlighting the need for safety awareness in the community.
