The Nigerian Air Force has carried out precision airstrikes on terrorist positions in the Yuwe axis of the Sambisa Forest, killing several insurgents.

In a statement, the NAF spokesperson, Ehimen Ejodame, said the operation was conducted by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai following credible intelligence and surveillance that confirmed the presence of terrorists in fortified structures.

He said the strikes destroyed the targets, neutralised fighters and disrupted key logistics facilities, based on post-strike assessments.

Ejodame added that sustained air operations in the North-East are intensifying pressure on terrorist groups, limiting their movement and capabilities.

Chief of the Air Staff, Sunday Aneke, reaffirmed the military’s commitment to ongoing intelligence-led operations aimed at eliminating terrorist threats while minimising civilian harm.
