The Yoruba socio-cultural organisation, Afenifere, has celebrated its leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, on his 100th birthday with a centenary lecture held on Friday at the Muson Centre in Lagos.
The lecture, themed “A Century of Courage and Stewardship of Yoruba Democratic Legacy,” was delivered by retired Archbishop Ayo Ladigbolu and Professor Ropo Sekoni.
President Bola Tinubu was represented at the event by his Chief of Staff, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.
The well-attended event attracted prominent Yoruba leaders, including Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Minister of Interior Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, Minister of State for Health Dr Adekunle Salako, and Lagos State Deputy Governor Dr Obafemi Hamzat.
Traditional leaders present at the epoch making event were Oba Oluyemisi Falae, Olu of Ilu Abo in Ondo State , His Royal Majesty ,Olowo of Owo Oba Gbadegesin Ogunoye and host of others
